Commanding coastal scenery and exciting outdoor adventures surround this exceptional property in Scotland’s rural Portpatrick. Styled with contemporary-meets-traditional decor throughout, the two-storey holiday home is both versatile and comfortable, ideal for enjoying restful mornings and lazy evenings as a whole group, interspersed with daily activities in the surrounding Dumfries and Galloway coast and countryside.

Traditional features have been sympathetically maintained and updated, featuring clean and modern styling, to create an utterly enjoyable place to stay. The original architecture includes handsome bay windows, some of which enjoy views of the village putting green at the front of the house, and arched walls that add a dynamic feel to the property’s design.

Those holidaying with teenagers in tow will benefit from the two lounges on the ground floor, each one equipped with plenty of soft seating and its own Smart TV to keep all of the guests happy. The second, slightly smaller lounge space also features a handy collection of board games that the whole family will love when there’s nothing good on the TV. There’s space to get stuck into these games in the kitchen/diner with a generously proportioned dining table in the conservatory-style space. The kitchen is equipped with ample worktops and all of the required appliances to cook up something tasty, and there’s also a Smart TV and a sofa in here to create another excellent space to socialise in. Before you head upstairs, notice the handy ground-floor utility room with laundry facilities, a downstairs WC, and a full-sized family bathroom.

When it’s time for bed, find all four of the property’s bedrooms on the first floor. Each one is as comfortable as the last with fresh linens and natural light. All four bedrooms are served by a family bathroom and an additional shower room, meaning there are three bathrooms in total across both floors. Of the bedrooms, two are laid out as spacious king-size rooms, one is a twin bedroom and the last is a snug bunk bedroom that younger kids will love.

A fantastic place to unwind when the sun shines, find a courtyard garden at the rear of the property, accessible via French doors in the kitchen/diner. Great for holidaying with children or pets, this courtyard is entirely enclosed so that they can play safely.
