Situated 5 miles from Banchory and 22.5 miles from Aberdeen, it offers dog-friendly accommodation and is well placed for anyone wishing to explore the mountains, crags and rivers of Royal Deeside.

Make your way up onto the wooden deck and enter this bright, airy and beautifully furnished hideaway. With an inviting, Scottish country house finish, the lodge offers open-plan living through its spacious lounge/kitchen/diner. Take turns whipping up tasty dishes in the well-equipped kitchen area, using the fresh Scottish salmon and venison you have sourced. Pull chairs up to the table to dine together then unwind on the comfortable seating in front of the TV later on.

As day turns to night, wander through to one of your luxurious bedrooms, which offer varied sleeping arrangements to suit families or couples. Here, you will find one double bedroom, which benefits from an en-suite shower room, and two twin rooms. Guests sleeping in the twin bedrooms share the stylish, family wet room.

Spill outside to soak up the sunshine and serenity on the wooden deck. Recline in the hot tub with a glass of something chilled, serve breakfast, lunch and dinner out in the fresh air and linger over a bottle of wine under the clear Scottish night sky on summer evenings.

Linvale had everything that we wanted, it was very comfortable, lovely quiet location, great views and the hot tub was a bonus. I would very much like to return and enjoy another holiday there. Linvale is a great base for exploring in all directions.

We had fantastic time, the lodge is great, very clean, warm and comfy! The hot tub was a great hit, and the location was perfect.
