Located on an organic farm, this delightful Scandinavian-style chalet is the perfect setting for that long-awaited trip away with family or friends. Set just 2.5 miles from the charming market town of Kelso, you can look forward to long riverside walks and relaxing meanders through the immediate countryside populated by sunflower meadows home to an impressive range of wildlife.

The single-storey chalet is one of three properties located on the farm. Its smart wooden exterior is complemented by a Scandi hygge aesthetic inside, with clean lines and spacious rooms flooded with natural light during the day. They are arranged to encourage you and yours to spend quality time together and make the most of truly astonishing views of the natural environment, with stylish soft furnishings as well as the more practical facilities every home-from-home needs.

Merely stepping into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner will make eyes widen and jaws drop. The area boasts high ceilings and tiled flooring littered with contemporary and colourful fixtures and fittings. Make yourselves at home on a comfortable corner sofa after lighting the wood burner and releasing the underfloor heating, perhaps in front of an evening film or just admiring the ever-changing views of the meadows during the day. The kitchen area is only over your shoulder and has all the kit and space a passionate foodie needs before serving up memorable meals to waiting diners. When the day has overtaken everyone, they can retreat to the large walk-in shower room before a restful night’s sleep in either the king-size bedroom with its standout views or the twin bedroom that overlooks the patio area. Both rooms offer easy access to the decked area.

Outside, the decked area offers a wood-fired hot tub with distant views of the Scottish Borders landscape, along with a table and chairs for alfresco meals and various other seating options including swing seats. Those who love sports can make the most of the complex’s shared tennis court.

Orchard Hideaway is a fabulous property in a beautiful, peaceful location. We loved the decor, the views over the fields, the hares and peasants right outside the window and the gorgeously relaxing hot tub. The property was very comfortable and extremely well equipped- the owners had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. We really appreRead moreciated the information about local walks and enjoyed the local area. We would definitely like to return as we found it so peaceful and enjoyable. Hide
